Vitamin B12 Deficiency & Pernicious Anaemia
Personal Results - Survey 1
How Treatment Variables Relate to Symptoms
The history of B12 usage was assessed in just under 200 Pernicious Anaemia and/or Vitamin B12 Deficiency patients. Each person was asked to report as many discrete epochs of B12 use as possible. Epochs were defined as periods of discrete B12 treatment (i.e. characterised by the type of cobalamin used, frequency of use, administration route and dosage). For each epoch participants were asked to indicate, to the best of their remembrance, the date range, primary type of B12 used, administration route, dosage and frequency. They were also able to enter up to 3 supplementary forms of B12 (e.g. additional capsules) for each epoch and were asked about supplemental iron and/or folate. For each epoch a list of 20 symptoms were rated for severity. If you were in the study you can see your personal data here.
